MBIE have updated the indicative time frames for the new regime for financial advice to
reflect the passage of the Financial Services Legislation Amendment Act and the approval
of the Code of Conduct. Cabinet has agreed that the new regime will come into effect in
June 2020.
The exact date will be confirmed by Order in Council in the coming months.
In the meantime, now is the time to familiarise yourself with the Code of Conduct
and the Amendment Act.
