There are two versions of the EQCover: Insurer’s Guide available to reflect the full range of amendments to the Earthquake Commission Act 1993 that passed in February 2019.

Please refer to the February 2019 version for policies that commence or renew before 1 July 2019.

Summary

EQCover is the Earthquake Commission’s natural disaster insurance for personal property, homes and land.

The provisions for EQCover are outlined in the relevant legislation – the Earthquake Commission Act 1993 and the Earthquake Commission Regulations 1993.
